Brief History

The Ipapo Kingdom is an ancient town which was founded by an hunter from Oyo-Ile which settled down under Apapo tree. After the demise of Eleyinpo Adan, the third King, Lasupo instituted boundary adjustment between Ipapo and neighbouring towns around 1680 and 1710.

During the reign of Oba Eleyinpo Lasupo, he solved boundaries disputes among its neigbouring communities and initiated boundaries adjustment with Iseyin at Oke Adodo along Ipapo-Iseyin Road and with Tede at Apata Jekojeko along Saki road then.
